Flower Power Guest Speakers: Putnam & Putnam

Water lilies blooming, wine glasses clinking, laughter ringing through the Piper Palm House. It’s a whimsical scene each year at Tower Grove Park’s Flower Power. At the height of the spring season, guests from all over St. Louis join together in the spirit of philanthropy, parks and gardening.

The largest fundraiser for Tower Grove Park, the Flower Power cocktail reception on May 15 and luncheon on May 16 support restoration and improvement of our historic oasis and National Historic Landmark park.

This year, the guest speakers will be Michael and Darroch Putnam from New York City.

Michael and Darroch Putnam founded their floristry studio in 2014 and quickly became New York City's go-to florists for fashion shows, weddings, installations, parties, and editorial shoots. Clients have compared their work to still-life paintings for their ability to express colors in unconventionally elegant palettes. Their first book, Flower Color Guide (Phaidon), is the ultimate color-by-color flower reference guide.

Their work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Martha Stewart Living, Town & Country, W Magazine and Elle Décor. They have collaborated with Bergdorf Goodman, Dior, Cartier, The Wall Street Journal, Adam Lippes, Jason Wu, and Brandon Maxwell.
