Our Caterers Highlight: A Social Affair
At Tower Grove Park, we keep it local! Recently, we expanded our list of preferred caterers in the Piper Palm House. We now partner with local caterers to provide unique and affordable options. Whether it’s BBQ for your corporate party or an elegant plate for your wedding reception, there’s an option to make your event special.
Plus, reserving our historic venues means supporting the Park and preserving the history that makes St. Louis great. Rental fees for pavilions, venues, fields, and picnic sites all contribute to the revenue used to restore, maintain and advance the Park. It’s a win-win!

Today’s highlight is The Social Affair, located in an adorable rehabbed gas station in the Shaw neighborhood. We interviewed Jules Curley, Events Coordinator, to tell us a little bit about what makes The Social Affair so irresistibly special. ”The Social Affair has been making our client's culinary visions come to life for over 10 years. We love to design immersive experiences that reflect your unique personality. We prepare delicious food, create impeccable stylings, and provide the highest level of service that will leave your guests buzzing about your event!”
What type of catering services/experiences do you offer?
”We offer full-service catering. Our clients choose from passed or stationed hors d'oeuvres and then can choose their entrées to be stationed, plated, or served family style. Our stations are the most popular option but we enjoy creating menus for all styles. We also provide bar services with experienced bartenders who enjoy crafting cocktails.”
What type of cuisine do you offer?
”If you can dream it, we can do it! From southern mac & cheese to dumplings to fresh pasta and everything in between!”

”Our shrimp + grits!”

”Last December, we had a couple who was SO in love. Every single person in the room could feel it. The bride wore a gorgeous green dress (with pockets, obviously) and he wore an incredible velvet jacket. We created a "Seaside in Mexico" station for them that had different kinds of ceviche, and for dessert they had an assortment of bite-sized treats. They danced the night away with their loved ones, and it was a wedding we won't soon forget!”
