Nee Kee Nee BMP Maintenance
The East Stream Restoration, also known as Nee Kee Nee, is preparing for Spring. Tasks ahead include trimming the perennial frame that encircles the landscape in a formal manner, pruning the BMPs or rain gardens, and mowing down the native areas.
The rain gardens feature dry and wet-loving plants arranged in large mass plantings. To accomplish these tasks, a team of 6-10 employees and volunteers lend their assistance. All debris must be cleared, and mulch will be added to these areas in accordance with MSD guidelines for maintaining the BMPs.
