Tower Grove Park Breaks Ground on Two Community Basketball Courts

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 13, 2023 to celebrate the start of construction on two new community basketball courts at Tower Grove Park. Guests in attendance, included Mayor Tishaura Jones, Board of Alderman President Megan Green, and District 80 Representative Peter Meridith, along with over forty other invitees.

Mayor Tishaura Jones expressed her excitement for the project, stating, “Nothing beats Summer in Tower Grove Park. These courts will give our youth more opportunities to spend time together in a safe environment while enjoying everything this beautiful park has to offer. Imagine what kind of powerful signal this sends to kids like mine and across our city that you are welcome in Tower Grove Park, and that we are excited to have you as a part of our community.”
