Come join a fun and interactive way to be outside!

Tower Grove Park is on the map to participate in the City Nature Challenge (CNC), a four-day bioblitz-style competition between cities across the globe to gather observations of nature. Run by the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, the CNC motivates people to find and document wildlife in their cities.

Participants will record their observations using the iNaturalist app from April 30th to May 3rd, and local scientists will identify the findings the following week. In addition to the St. Louis Metro area, over 250 cities are signed up to participate in the 2021 challenge. Cities will compete to see which one can collect the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people during the event.
