Bring your little Mozart or Verdi and join us for a music-filled summer. Tower Grove Park is pleased to announce that the 2021 Summer Children’s Concert Series will return on the first three Fridays of the month in June, July, and August. Each month will introduce a different genre of musical education. The concert series is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but does provide a way to communicate event changes.
Concerts will run from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Stupp Center Amphitheater (3616 Southeast Dr., St. Louis MO 63116). Gates will open at 9:30 a.m.
August 6: St. Louis Taiko Drummers
Can you hear and feel the beat of the drums? St. Louis Osuwa Taiko is a community-driven ensemble that celebrates the Japanese art of taiko through education and performance. So, what is taiko? Taiko means “big, fat drum” in Japanese and is steeped in a rich history of tradition. Taiko has been played in Japan for more than 1,400 years at religious ceremonies and festivals.
