As a Tree Grows: Planting

Date: Friday, April 2nd
Time: 9:00 to 11:00 AM
Location: Chinese Pavilion (3834 Main Dr, St. Louis MO 63110)

Older, weaker trees need removal, and, in their place, newer trees are planted. Tower Grove Park plants over 300 trees each year – only a small fraction of the total number of trees in the Park. It is no mystery that the Park has arboretum status.

We need your help! Come celebrate Missouri Arbor Day the right way by planting trees in the Park. This is the first time Tower Grove Park has organized a community volunteer project centered on trees and we are thrilled to bring people out.

Registration is required. We will gather at the Chinese Pavilion before the Forestry Team takes the group over to Cemetery Hill to teach you how to properly plant trees in the Park and get you to work.

What will you need? You will want to have water, gloves, clothing/boots you don't mind getting dirty, and of course, a face covering. Tower Grove Park asks all its volunteers to wear a face coving during their volunteer experience and to distance as is appropriate for the work.

We look forward to bringing people out for this fantastic opportunity.
