Richard Fuhrmann (b. 1880) was a native-born St. Louisan who learned the art of photography from the influential Emil Boehl starting at the age of 16. Although trained as a medical doctor, Fuhrmann practiced photography as his hobby throughout his entire life and assembled one of the foremost collections of St. Louis photographs in existence. Historian Tom Gronski will discuss the rediscovery these St. Louis treasures.
