Celebrate Missouri Arbor Day at Tower Grove Park by helping our Forestry team with new tree plantings!
As Tower Grove Park celebrates 150+ years, we are taking care to maintain the historic canopy of the Park. We have recently developed a Tree Restoration Master Plan that has helped us to assess the health of our trees. Trees that are in fair or poor condition need removal, and in their place, new trees are planted.
Bring your family and friends out for this fun volunteer opportunity, where you will learn firsthand from our Forestry team how to plant and care for a tree sapling.
Did you know:
Tower Grove Park is Level II Arboretum through ArbNet
Over 300 trees are planted here each year
There are nearly 7000 trees in the Park of more than 350 species.
The Park's trees provide about $395,000 in annual environmental, economic, and social benefits.
Registration is required. We will meet at the Music Stand to plant 3 trees nearby. After our meeting at the designated location, the Forestry team will demonstrate proper technique and get us started with plantings.
We look forward to having you out for this fantastic opportunity!
