Crochet is a great hobby to connect with nature whether crocheting while in nature or crocheting a nature project! Join a naturalist for the first session of the Nature Crocheters series! At this session, we will learn how to do basic crochet stitches in preparation for future sessions. We will learn some basic crochet stitches including chain, single crochet, and double crochet, and then take some time to practice our new skills. We’ll be outside for the entire program, so please dress for the weather. We’ll meet at the Stupp Center.
*Yarn will be provided, but please bring a size 5 mm, 5.5 mm, or 6 mm crochet hook.
*For this session only, you do not need to know how to crochet! For all future Nature Crocheters sessions, you must know the basic crochet stitches to attend.
*Although this first session is intended for beginners, all levels of crocheters are welcome to attend! Please email Anna Cooke at Anna.Cooke@mdc.mo.gov before registering if you already know how to crochet and would still like to attend.
*Upcoming Sessions: October 14th & November 18th. More details will be available closer to each date.
This program is offered by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
