survey on car-less days in the park
The survey is closed
Tower Grove Park is seeking public input on planning future car-less days. Globally, parks have expanded pedestrian-only access by limiting cars in public spaces. During the spring of 2020, Tower Grove Park closed all the roads to allow extra space for social distancing. Many communities requested the park extended the closures, so Tower Grove Park created monthly car-less days.
The past year's car-less days happened once a month, Monday–Thursday, where the east end roads from S. Grand to von Humboldt Circle were closed to vehicles. There were no rentals or events on the east side of the park during this time. The west end roads remained opened to cars, rentals, and events. There was also vehicular access through Center Cross and to the Ruins and fountain pond.
Please share your thoughts with us as we plan future car-less days. Thank you for your input!
